Starring: Keira Knightley, Mark Ruffalo, Adam Levine, James Corden.

Being Again, follows Gretta (Keira Knightley) as she moves to New York with her musical boyfriend and then ends up finding her own musical career along the bumpy way.

Whilst the film was pretty predictable, Knightley and Ruffalo put on a very sweet and endearing performance. It was a very lighthearted film which is the type of film that doesn't get made too often these days; so it was fairly refreshing to watch.

The storyline itself was well thought out and original. It didn't give into the stereotypical love story by making the characters fall in love but did things it's own way. The mix of music and New York City is always something that's interesting to watch, especially when you've never been to NYC as it only betters your imagination.

Both acting and musical abilities from Ruffalo and Knightley were quality. The soundtrack had a very indie vibe and soft touch which was only complimented by Knightley's voice. The acting also had a very honest touch which very much showed through in Ruffalo's, mildly drunken, performance.

Something that stood out to me most was the styling. Knightley's simple and chic outfit choices paired with the NYC backdrop made for excellent visuals.

Coming from that is the cinematography. Whilst this didn't wow me, the location choices did. They picked very uncommon locations which was enjoyable to see, such as on top of roof's and alley ways. The scenes were also bright and spacious which aesthetically does a lot for me.

Overall, Begin Again was a very sweet story. The NYC backdrop mixed with the musical vibes was a perfect match. Definitely a nice and easy film to watch on a family or date night... or like me alone in the dark at 3am.
