An Elie Saab couture show is like living in a fairytale.

This seasons couture show was set to the backdrop of a tropical jungle. According to Vogue, this was done as the collection was inspired by late Lilah Wingfield and her travels to India.

The show was very simple and plain but in a tasteful and complimenting way. It allowed for the dresses to have their moment with no distractions. The different shades of purple and lilacs that almost seemed grey added something ethereal to the tropical theme. It was like woodland fairies meet the amazon.

Essentially nothing really stood out to me as new and different this season and it mostly seemed like a variation of the same dress. It definitely wasn't though. Looking up close at the outfits you can see the details that immediately add new elements to the clothes.

The sheer long and flowy dresses matched with the bold sequins and the muted shades really capture the Elie Saab style. These exquisite outfits matched with the explorer bags and the almost western boots encapsulated the shows theme.

The closing wedding dress was something else though. If that model was not a real life princess, that dress certainly made her look like one.:
